Listen I'll be the first to admit that I may have overreacted a bit after the Browns beat their third straight 1-win team yesterday to make them 3-1 for the first time since 2001.
I had a couple tall Bud Lights and the Twitter fingers started running wild when we went up 41-14 after 3 quarters. But who can blame me? I was right about every aspect of that football game, from the game easily going over the total to the Browns going into Jerry's World and coming out with a cover and outright victory. And leading up to it all I heard was chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp. I'm the first to admit when I'm wrong and it's a shame that the haters run away when I'm right. So yeah, I am going to let the people know about it.
But I can do that because I'm a fan. I can get excited about 3-1 because I'm a fan. I'd rather my players keep their nose to the grind and understand that we haven't won anything yet. Baker said it best in his postgame interview:
But it looks like the rest of the Browns are not following that same motto…
Alriiiiiight boys. All within the hour after the game. Calm down a bit. I know we're all riding high after a huge win and it appears like this is going to be a magical season in Cleveland. But we still have 12 games to go and Nick Chubb is probably out for at least a few games, maybe more. Let me handle the talking for now.
