Hold Up, Jamal Murray Lived At The Hotel They Use To Film 'Schitt’s Creek' For Two Years?!?!?!
[Toronto Star] - Currently serving as the president of the Athlete Institute Basketball Academy and Orangeville Prep, Tipping purchased the motel in 2011 to house recruits for what’s become the most successful prep school basketball program in Canada.
Former Orangeville Prep alum and budding NBA superstar Jamal Murray, of the Denver Nuggets, lived there for two years.
Schitt's Creek and Jamal Murray. Two Canadian things that have absolutely taken over America. The show just dominated the Emmy's while Murray has been arguably the best player in the NBA playoffs. And don't get me wrong, I fully understand how shows use the outside of hotels, etc, but it's wild to think that the hotel in Schitt's Creek is this huge housing area for a big time prep school.
Gotta give credit to Schitt's Creek, it's one of the few shows where I haven't heard someone say they truly don't enjoy it. They nailed the characters - even if it's weird seeing the dad from American Pie and the mom from Home Alone as different people. That's who they will always be to me. But they nailed every character on this show and one of the few things hotter than Jamal Murray in the playoffs is Alexis Rose:
