Tommy Stats NFL Week 3:The Undefeated Golden Book Of Stats Returns

Welcome back to the lab. Every Sunday morning during this NFL season, I'll be blogging the stats and trends that I presented on Barstool Sports Advisors, plus some additional ones that I didn't get to use. These stats are a mixture of ones I've found across various websites, and also some just through my own research from pouring through the data.

Below is my entire cheat sheet I use for Advisors each week. Lines courtesy of the Barstool Sportsbook, subject to change from the time I compiled this.

Los Angeles Rams (2-0, 2-0 ATS) vs. Buffalo Bills (2-0, 1-1 ATS)

1 PM on FOX

BUF -2

T 47.5

-Under Sean McDermott, the Bills are the most profitable favorite in football. They’re 11-7-1 ATS as a favorite, covering 61% of the time.

That was the pro-Bills stat I used on the show because it stuck out to me the most, but there are trends that support the Rams as well

-Under Sean McVay, the Rams are now 8-2 ATS in 1 PM start times (provided this stat last week and it proved fortuitous)

-The Rams are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games

-The Rams are 6-1 ATS as a road dog under McVay

Las Vegas Raiders (2-0, 2-0 ATS) @ New England Patriots (1-1, 1-1 ATS)

1 PM on CBS

NE -5.5

T 48

Unsurprisingly, a ton of these stats support the Patriots over the Raiders given the recent history of these two franchises.

-Patriots are 48-23-1 ATS in their last 72 games following a straight up loss. It's fair to wonder, as Dave pointed out on the show, how meaningful these Pats stats actually are with Brady gone, but the most important mainstay is still there - Bill Belichick.

-Raiders are 4-14 ATS in their last 18 games following a straight up win.

-The Raiders are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following Monday Night Football

Houston Texans (0-2, 0-2 ATS) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0, 1-1 ATS)

1 PM on CBS

PIT -4

T 45

-FROM THE UNDEFEATED GOLDEN BOOK OF STATS: Since 2016, 0-2 teams that were .500 or better the year before are 10-0 ATS in Week 3. This applies to the Houston Texans.

-In Week 3, 0-2 teams are 53-37 ATS (59%) facing teams with a better record

-Deshaun Watson is 9-5 ATS as a road underdog (but 0-2 this season).

Dallas Cowboys (1-1, 0-2 ATS) @ Seattle Seahawks (2-0, 2-0 ATS)

4:25 PM on FOX

SEA -4.5

T 55.5

-Under Pete Carroll, Seattle is 13-3 ATS in September home games

-Dallas is 2-5 ATS in last 7 September road games

-Cowboys are 2-7 ATS vs. in their last 9 against a team with a winning record.

Green Bay Packers (2-0, 2-0 ATS) @ New Orleans Saints (1-1, 1-1 ATS)

8:20 PM on NBC

NO -3

T 52.5

-Over is 21-7 in Packers last 28 September games

-Over is 17-7 in Saints last 24 September games

-Over is 7-1 in their last 8 matchups

-Saints are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 primetime home games
