Saints LB Demario Davis on How His Contract Extension Got Done So Quietly: "Real Gs Move in Silence Like Lasagna"

My disdain for the New Orleans Saints is about as immense as any towards a team can be, but I have no choice but to stan Saints linebacker Demario Davis, who signed a three-year contract extension on the day New Orleans opened its 2020 season against the Buccaneers.

When asked how he and the team kept the negotiations so quiet, Davis quoted Lil Wayne, saying, "Real Gs move in silence like lasagna."

That's how you do it, folks. Drop one of Weezy's most iconic lines right after a season-opening win and signing a new contract which will give you $27 million over three years — with $18 million guaranteed.

Davis's extension comes just days after the Saints also locked up star running back Alvin Kamara for five more seasons. Unfortunately, it seems like the Saints are going to keep this good core together for the foreseeable future.
