Ravens Take A Dump On The Chest Of The Browns 38-6

Wow. I had confidence in this team and the way that they would bounce back after last season's disappointment but that was an outright shellacking. Outside of a portion of the 2nd quarter the Ravens just dominated the game in all 3 phases.

Many were predicting regression from Lamar Jackson after his MVP season. That somehow he still can't throw the football. Well folks, it would appear that those people are extreeeemely wrong yet again. 20 of 25 for 3 TD's and 7 carries for 45 yards to go with it. Dart after dart after dart. Deep balls, short balls, he was magnificent yet again. It's a very scary thought that he may be EVEN BETTER than he was last season. Those two touchdown drives late in the 1st half were absolutely clinical, just like the ones in Cleveland late last season.

Mark Andrews and Hollywood Brown are primed to do big things. Hollywood went over 100 yards and Andrews grabbed two tuddies, including this ridiculous grab to open up the scoring.

The defense had its struggles at times today but the secondary was dominant yet again. The run defense was shaky but teams won't have a choice but to go to the air with the way this Ravens offense cooks. This team is just as good as the dominant team we saw all year last year and they may be even better. Great start to the season, plenty more where that came from.

Big time Week 1 win mood:

Bring me the Texans.
