When In Doubt, It Doesn't Hurt to Give Your Hot New Girlfriend All The Credit For Your Historic US Open Breakthrough

Last night 21 year old Denis Shapovalov became the first Canadian ever to reach the Men's quarterfinals at the US Open. The kid is a stud and I've been a fan ever since he took down Nadal in Montreal back in 2017. If you want to watch fun tennis, watch Shapo play. His serve is electric and he pretty much tries to hit a winner on every shot with 100% power (usually his downfall). After taking down the number 7 overall seed David Goffin last night in four grueling sets, the Canadian was quick to thank his new girlfriend, Mirjam Bjorklund, for all of his success during this run. You can never go wrong giving credit to your girl while being interviewed live on ESPN. Doesn't matter that your mom is your coach, thank the girlfriend and get those brownie points. That my friends is how you stay out of the dog house forever. Some will probably say that's simping 101. I still don't really know what that means, but I just call it being smart.

It also helps that Mirjam Bjorklund is a pro tennis player herself from Sweden. Find you a girl who looks like this, helps your mental game, and can rally with you on the side to help you on the court. Wife material.

I'm staring at Shapovalov +850 to win this thing and I have a hard time not pulling the trigger. -200 against Carreno Busta tomorrow. Probably facing the choke artist Zverev in the semis and then who knows in the finals. +850 is too good to pass up in my mind.
