Never Forget The Time Lee Corso Dropped "Ah Fuck It!" Live On Air

Lee Corso is an absolute legend. Today is his 85th birthday. The voice of all of our Saturday mornings for the last 25 years or so. Even now when he's mostly ranting incoherently during Gameday and is essentially a legacy prop on the set, he's still the best. 

Wouldn't want to start saturdays in the fall any other way than with him going 5 minutes over the time to deliver his headgear prediction.

So with his 85th birthday happening today, I couldn't go without wishing him a great one, but also looking back on one of the classic Corso moments during his tenure on my favorite show - the time he did what most older men do - just not give a shit. 

In usual Corso form, he fooled the home crowd by pretending to choose the away team before he decided to literally say "Ah fuck it!" clear as day and picking up the Houston headgear. 

To be fair he had to have thought there's no way it'll pick up with all this crowd noise I guess. But I think it's more likely he just instinctively dropped it in the heat of the moment. 

All good. Fowler and Hersbtreit - particularly Herbstreit's reaction - are the best. They heard it right away, and at least Fowler did a decent job of just putting his head down and laughing. Herby made it abundantly clear that the F bomb was just dropped.

Happy Birthday, Coach Corso. Looking forward to hopefully at least some virtual F bombs being dropped starting next month.
