I respect the big mans decision because you gotta do what's best for you, but it's just a fact that the Bears defense is worse without Eddie Goldman. I'm confident in Bilal Nichols stepping in, but with the big boys the depth game matters. All it takes is one roll up for disaster to strike and then we're most likely stuck playing someone big minutes that probably shouldn't be getting them.
It also makes me nervous for what's to come. Who's next? How is this going to shape up for the rest of the year? Not exactly ideal for a team with a QB that has an incredibly hot seat and is already going to lean very heavily on a strong defense.
