There's No Chance Ronda Rousey Is Done In WWE, Despite What Dana White Is Saying
Uproxx – Well, the Fight Network recently asked Dana about whether Rousey will be doing future business with WWE, and he didn’t give the answer you’re probably hoping for:
“What she did on WrestleMania was awesome, it was awesome. It came off great. I loved it. She’s a one and done.”
When straight up asked whether there are any pro wrestling matches in Ronda Rousey’s future, Dana had an equally straight up answer — “nope”.
If you believe this you must be new here. Dana White took that page straight out of Vince McMahon’s book. He’s working a storyline and everyone knows it. Dana knows there is no competition for Rousey in UFC. McMahon knows Rousey got a ton of exposure at Wrestlemania and could jump to WWE and be a megastar (and probably get paid more too). WWE has never had a woman asskicker like Rousey. People would tune in to see her much like they did to see Lesnar. Dana White knows this. So what’s his plan? To get involved in the storyline. If you can’t beat them, join them. If Rousey is going to cash WWE paychecks, White wants one too. He’s going to keep himself and the UFC name involved. I would be less than shocked to see some sort of Vince and Stephanie McMahon vs Dana White and Ronda Rousey tag team match for the rights to Rousey’s contract at next Wrestlemania. Makes perfect sense for both sides. It would be UFC and WWE coming together and cross promoting like never seen before. They saw how well it worked this year, imagine seeing the two titans Vince vs Dana squaring off.
Now, if Dana White isn’t trying to drum up a storyline here, he’s insane. If he legitimately is against Rousey doing more WWE stuff, he really might just lose her all together. But at the same time, she doesn’t have that bad of a life. She fights dumb broads for 14 seconds, makes them tap, and then cashes huge paychecks. I just think her in WWE would be great and is inevitable.
