When Hanley blew past Butterfield’s stop last night I lost it. It was a perfect, PERFECT Manny moment. Didn’t even think of stopping. Couple that with everything else and it’s a goddamn crime he’s not wearing 24 out there. They’re the same exact person and I couldn’t be happier about it. Sure sometimes Hanley will take himself out of a game because he’s got a cold and it’s making him dizzy, maybe next week he’ll bring his own water bottle out to left or cutoff Mookie’s throw. Who knows? That’s the magic of Hanley being Manny, you never know what he’ll do next. But I’ll tell you what, it’s always entertaining.
