Did You Know That The CEO Of Patreon Moonlights As An AWESOME Funk Musician?

Last night, thanks to the trusty ol' YouTube recommendation column, I discovered a phenomenal funk band from Los Angeles with a rotating cast of musicians who specialize in reimagining classics with a little more....soul....thrown into 'em. They're called Scary Pockets, and they're fucking amazing. Bill Haverchuck lookin head ass on the bass is so next-level it's unreal.

It didn't take long for me to completely fall down the rabbit hole that is their channel, watching cover after cover from the group, more mind blown by each and every one - and then I stumbled upon this comment....

Initially, I assumed this was just some sorta joke in reference to the keyboardist in these videos - a mainstay and link among all of the vids - looking like the Patreon CEO; my 3Chi-filled brain didn't even consider that the Patreon CEO may actually be moonlighting as the funkiest keyboard player on YouTube. That wouldn't make any sense, would it?!

So I pull up Google and type in "Patreon CEO", just to see how serious a doppelgänger we were workin with here - and sure as shit - this guy's a musician....and it's actually him! It's the mothafuckin Patreon CEO in these videos!

Patreon Jack's musical talents aren't limited the keyboard, either, as you might've guessed from that picture of him up there. Here he is laying down a bass track for one of the more unique covers of 'Yesterday' I've ever heard....

Pretty crazy, huh? Dude is living the dream! He founded and is still running what I assume is a pretty damn successful company and he's just constantly jamming the fuck out with tons of incredibly talented musicians on the side, having the time of his life in every single video?!

What a king. I love it. Shoutout to Scary Pockets. Mothafuckas rule. Check em out.
