Phillies Win But Giancarlo Stanton Had One Of The Most Impressive Moonshots In CBP History
Sweet fancy Moses. That’s what we call opposite field power, folks. Very few people can pull the ball that far out of the park. Shit, it’s a miracle when Ben Revere or Caesar Hernandez hit it out of the infield on the fly. Meanwhile Stanton is slicing bombs 250 yards into the night. Fun stuff. Hey, remember when we could have essentially traded Dom Brown for Giancarlo Stanton and we balked? Good times.
Ryan Howard also hit his first dinger (of probably 8) this season which now puts him at 100th on the all-time home run list in the majors. It’s a damn shame these past couple years have tarnised his legacy as a Phillie. Hopefully people will remember the good times over the bad in the long term because Howard was once a HORSE that put this entire team on his back. Without Howard, we probably don’t win a World Series let alone 5 straight Division titles. I think this sums it up best for everyone involved:
