Live Look At Islanders Viking Ship Every Other Day
Ok. Enough is enough. There is no Viking Ship. There is no wild, crazy, fan base. Everyone knows this. Props to KFC for really making it seem like Isles fans are this die-hard, passionate bunch. He’s awesome at making things into “things” and running with it. And he’s done a great job into tricking the Internet into thinking the Islanders are the most loyal, do or die fan base in all of sports. Get fucking real.
This year, the Islanders were 23rd in regular season attendance. NOTE FOR THE STUPID: This is by %, not total number of people. 23rd. The Islanders last year in their precious little Coliseum. Seems like all those die hards surely wanted to show up, huh? That’s fine, maybe they got in all their games last year, right? Yea I guess it’s possible, since last year they were 22nd in attendance. So yes, attendance dropped this year, based on league-wide attendance %. The year before you ask? 28th. The year before you ask? Dead last. The “Vikings” are just drunk bandwagoners. Nothing more.
This is the reaction I got on Twitter: I present the numbers and facts, Islanders fans fire up the excuse mobile. PARKING IS HARD! Guys, you have John Tavares, you go and see him. IT’S HARD TO GET TO! Nassau County has 1.3 million people BY ITSELF. Nevermind is apart of the largest metropolitan area in the United States. And then the MAJOR idiots try to make the “THE ARENA IS SMALL!” excuse, not realizing that it should be even EASIER to pack it then. And then of course the rest of the people just throwing over personal attacks, hoping I die, etc etc because when you don’t have a concrete argument that’s what you resort to.
The fact of the matter is Islanders fans didn’t support their team enough to get them to build a new arena so they said fuck you guys too, we’re moving to Brooklyn. Maybe the BK fans will actually care about them before the playoffs?
PS: The Caps can lose this series 4-1 and nothing in this blog will be untrue. It has nothing to do with the series. It just had to be said.
