WWE Has Banned Seth Rollins From Doing His "Curbstomp" Finishing Move Because It's Too Dangerous
WZ - According to WWE sources, the company will be banning Seth Rollins from using the curb stomp finishing move. WWE’s feeling about the move, which the WWE World Heavyweight Champion uses as his finisher, is that it’s too much of a direct liability and risk for a head injury. All of sports is trying to be more proactive when it comes to preventing head injuries and concussions, and this is the reason for WWE banning the curb stomp.
Kinda really sucks that Rollins can’t do his curb stomp anymore. It was one of those unique finishers that you’d see and be like “shit, that probably actually really fucking hurt”. It’s what has helped Rollins get to be WWE champion. It’s a vicious and painful move. There’s a rumor that it’s not banned but they are saving it for big matches, which is possible, but I also hate it. With Lesnar only wrestling once every 3 months or so, you need a guy out there who wants to hurt people week after week. That’s what made Lesnar so great. That’s what made Reigns as part of the shield so great (now he talks like a child on the mic and it’s awful). And that’s what made the curb stomp so great to me.
As for everything else going on in WWE right now, some is good, some is bad. Bryan being off TV right now sucks. Kane being involved in seemingly every storyline right now sucks. Cena not being shoved down our throats and actually putting on good matches is good. Orton is the top face right now almost by circumstance and did a doozie of an RKO last night, which is good.
Would like to see much more Ambrose, much less Big Show and much more Bray Wyatt.
They’ve done a decent job not slacking off in this post-Mania time. Just keeping my finger’s crossed they keep doing what’s working and don’t try to force anything silly.
