Just an absolutely dominant first 40 minutes by the Rangers. Hags set the tone firing a bomb through Fleury on a breakaway in the first before Kreider potted the eventual game-winner in the second. After that, the Blueshirts did what they do best – hang onto a lead. The Penguins threw absolutely everything they had at Lundqvist in the third, but he & his defense stood strong. Great games out of Yandle & Girardi on the back end, and kudos to Captain McD for not getting baited into Sid’s cowardly bullshit. In a perfect world, the Rangers would extend their lead enough for someone to drop him but whatever. I guess I’d be a little cranky too if my teammates locked me out of my own dressing room before a playoff loss. 2 down, 14 to go. VIVA LA BLUESHIRTS!!
