Fred Hoiberg Is Up And Around After His Open-Heart Surgery!

Good news is Fred Hoiberg had successful open-heart surgery on Friday and is on the path towards a full recovery.  That sound you just heard was the entire city of Ames exhaling in relief.  Bad news (not really bad news) is that recovery from open-heart surgery looks BRUTAL.  As brutal as you’d expect it to be.  He couldn’t look more exhausted in that video.  Makes sense.  He had open heart surgery but damn.  It’s good to see him up and around though.

Even the most diehard Hawkeye fan isn’t heartless (pun) enough to wish Hoiberg anything but a speedy recovery.  Best of luck sir.
