First Trailer For 'Halloween Kills' The New Halloween Sequel, Delayed A Year Due To COVID

Ehhhhh....

We don't have many details on this movie, aside from the return of former people from the franchise, but it is clear from this trailer as to how it begins. Prepare to be fucking stunned...

MICHAEL MYERS IS ALIVE

Wow. Crazy.

This is how the previous movie (which was pretty solid, not amazing, but a worthy reboot) ended...

I thought it was a strong ending, honestly. Again, the movie wasn't amazing, but I found it very satisfying. It picked up the pieces for a fracture franchise that started off with a bonafide classic. Having Laurie finally end Michael in the way she did seemed to work perfectly. She put together this complex plan for this entire house to go up in flames and just end his life...

...she just didn't plan for the... fire... department... I guess?

Suspending disbelief isn't a problem for me with movies, but I just won't pretend this is some sort of strong way to continue the franchise and revive Myers yet again. To be totally fair, they initially were going to do two movies, but wanted to see the reaction on the first movie before committing to anything, so, the ending was genuine at the time. The franchise is supposed to end in 2022 with 'Halloween Ends', so I hope they don't fuck around and pretend to kill Myers at the end of the new movie. Give us a cliffhanger! Don't fuck with us and try and make us think he's dead.

The movie is dropping in 2021, which is a full-year delay based on its original fall 2020 release...

Fair enough! Give me more movies in IMAX. I won't complain there.

Are you looking forward to the next Halloween movie?
