We just connected with Rebecca Francis and got a statement on her Giraffe hunt that anti-hunters are attacking her for. Rebecca said, “When I was in…

Telegraph – Comedian Ricky Gervais has reignited the hunting debate by tweeting a picture of a woman smiling while lying next to a giraffe she had killed.

Rebecca Francis, an American who hosts TV show Eye of the Hunter and won a competition called Extreme Hunting, claimed she posed with the dying animal to “honour” its life.

The Utah mother – who has previously hunted animals including zebras, lynx, bears, deer and elks – defended herself by saying the giraffe was “inevitably going to die soon”.

Animal rights campaigners were among those to publicly criticise Francis, with some social media users sending her death threats.

Francis defended herself in a statement on the Facebook page of HuntingLife.com.

She claimed she was “honouring” the giraffe by posing for the picture, adding that every part of the animal was used after it was killed.

“I chose to honor his life by providing others with his uses and I do not regret it for one second,” Francis wrote.

“Once he was down there were people waiting to take his meat. They also took his tail to make jewelry, his bones to make other things, and did not waste a single part of him. I am grateful to be a part of something so good.”

Man what is it with blonde chicks these days slaughtering animals then posing for Facebook selfies? God damn millenials. Remember the Texas Tech cheerleader from last year that ignited the whole hunting firestorm with her lion selfies? Kendall Jones. Total smoke.

She got shit on relentlessly, and now we’ve got this semi-MILF doing the same thing, with the same results. Listen I’m not some vegetarian pussy, I love eating meat and I know exactly where it comes from, hunting has been necessary to human survival for thousands of years. But something about posing the dead animals and propping yourself up next to their carcass to grab a filtered selfie for your Instagram account just doesn’t strike me as in good taste. Not outraged about it or anything, just think maybe you could do your thing, provide for your little village and keep the glamor shots out of it? Seems like that would keep everybody happy and prevent British comedians from shitting on your life.
