Dustin Poirier & Dan Hooker Just Put On An Instant Classic

HOOOOOLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY SHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!

That was absolutely fucking insane! We knew Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker were gonna put on a banger of a fight (because when do those guys ever disappoint?), but I don't know WHO could've expected the all out WAR like the one we saw tonight. 

Across five rounds, these guys went from standing and trading massive blows and combinations, to going back-and-forth in grappling exchanges, to narrowly escaping close submission attempts, and ground-and-pound opportunities....and then we got audible in-cage trash talk mixed in too - this fight truly had it all!! 

It went to Poirier in the end, and I think that was the right call despite having no clue how ya score that one. I had just smoked a joint before the main event and was just taken by the violence - forgot to score it! Oh well!

I don't know if that main event edges out Zhang/Joanna for Fight of the Year - I'd have to rewatch that - but Round 2 of Poirier/Hooker absolutely takes Round of the Year honors. My jaw was on the floor for the entirety of it, as they just threw caution to the wind and swung with the force of a thousand suns on every punch. 

Shit was simply incredible and these tweets show the world was watching as well....

Fat Joe says that was the BEST FIGHT HE'S EVER SEEN! You know how many fights Fat Joe has seen? Fat Joe??? So many. Speaks to how great that main event was. Oh, and the Paul Felder curse continues.....

EVERYONE WHO'S EVER BEATEN PAUL FELDER HAS GONE ON TO LOSE THEIR NEXT FIGHT! How wild is that?! Seriously! I think Aaron Bronsteter jinxed it….
