Connor McDavid Scores 5 Goals In Playoff Game, Might Be Good At Hockey

Ehhhh 5 goal in a 7-3 playoff win over London isn’t too bad. I mean, I’ve made that same move he pulled for the 2nd goal about a million times playing NHL so I’m not that impressed. That 5th goal was pretty slick, but that plug definitely got lucky. Either way, I guess it’s time to break the news that this Connor McDavid kid is pretty pretty pretty good at hockey. And with Buffalo* clinching last place in the league and most likely ending up with that #1 overall pick, the rest of the Atlantic Conference better enjoy their last few remaining days of peace.

This is for anti-tanking community in the building right now. In general, I’m right there with ya when it comes to tanking in hockey. This shit isn’t a joke like the NBA. But everyone has to realize this year is so much different. Even though he’s a nice little player, it’s not like there are teams out there tanking for Ekblad. We’ve got Jack Eichel winning the Hobey and leading his team to the National Championship game tonight, and we’ve got McDavid doing McDavid things like this. Just needed to clear that up because I think I’d take a zero win season for one of these two.

*My best case scenario for today is to have the SensArmy beat the Flyers for lunch, for the Bruins to get a win in Tampa and for Buffalo to shutdown the tank and end the Penguins season. So let’s go out there and enjoy the final day of the NHL regular season.
