NBCSPORTS - Months away from the start of the 2020 season and the Eagles have already been dealt a devastating blow. Eagles right guard Brandon Brooks on Monday tore his left Achilles tendon while working out at the NovaCare Complex, according to sources. He will miss the entire 2020 season.
Well, shit. Not only is Brandon Brooks one of the best players at his position, but he's an absolute stellar guy off the field. He'll rebound from this injury - AGAIN - but it obviously hurts the Eagles this year. Big time. Look at these facts. LOOK AT THEM:
I say again, shit. Good luck to Brandon and whoever is going to be slated to fill those gigantic shoes at G. Cause right now it's 4th round draft pick out of Auburn Jack Driscoll. Unless Jalen Hurts can play guard? That would be nice to see the 2nd round pick actually go to good use. Whatever. See you in 2021, BB.
PS - They're tackles, but for depth purposes maybe go resign Jason Peters or teach former first round pick Andre Dilard to wipe with both hands.
