Back to Work: Tennessee Returns to Action After Two Days Off, Set to Face Texas A&M Tonight

With just three games remaining in the 2018 regular season, each and every snap for the Tennessee Volunteers will be crucial the rest of the way. At 7-2 (4-1), Coach Gus Duggerton's squad most likely needs to win out and have Florida lose one of its last two SEC games to earn a spot in Atlanta.

Since it has been some time since the Vols have taken the field, let's recap where we left off on Thursday night: with a huge Duggleheader sweep.

Tennessee 42, South Carolina 32 - RB Rico Burgerton dislocates his ankle and is out for five weeks, but the tailback committee behind him steps up in his absence.

Tennessee 24, Alabama 20 - Nick Saban totally botches the clock in the final minute to allow the Volunteers to move their winning streak to five games.

Now, we shift our focus to tonight's opponent: The Texas A&M Aggies. In this 2018 college football season, it is quite rare to see Coach Duggs play just one game per day. That'll be the case today, and coming off back-to-back off days, it's time for a debate unlike any other: Rest vs. Rust.

The regular season finish line is in sight, and by the middle of the week, Coach Duggs could very well have another shot at a BCS National Title with the Vols. He could also be the man at the helm for another program by next weekend, as well. But that's the beauty of the Duggs phenomenon. You truly never know what is going to happen.

We are live at 7:30 PM tonight from HQ, as Tennessee looks to hold on to the top spot in the polls.
