Cock-A-Doodle-Duggs! Tennessee Holds Off South Carolina After Running Backs Step Up in Burgerton's Absence

We warned you! Don't let Duggs get hot. And America's Coach is on fire right now. A 42-32 win over (12) South Carolina moved (1) Tennessee's winning streak to four games on Thursday night.

Despite the win, the biggest storyline from this one was actually a negative one. We will not be seeing star RB Rico Burgerton for a while after an unfortunate injury in the first half.

After that, the tough breaks kept on coming. But this one was thanks to assistant coach Billy Football, who fazed QB1 Stefon Cheah while he was facing pressure in the pocket.

So, with the starting quarterback struggling and the starting running back injured, Coach Duggs was in trouble early on. What was he going to do?

Tiny Scoops, Jazz Owens, and Tony Blount had that answer.

Tennessee's defense did just enough to hold off South Carolina as crunch time appeared, and just like that, the Volunteers are now 6-2 (3-1). The back end of the Duggleheader is happening RIGHT NOW against the unranked Alabama Crimson Tide. Join us here!
