Well, well, well. Look what we have here...
The Tennessee Volunteers are once again the number one team in the country! After another statement win on the road vs. No. 18 Georgia, Coach Gus Duggerton and company jumped from No. 6 to No. 1. And just like that, Big Cat controls his own destiny to a repeat appearance in the BCS National Title Game.
Contrary to what we've seen over the last few games, Coach Duggs actually managed to have his guys get a great start in Athens today. The reason for that? A first half hat trick from the one and only Rico Burgerton.
By the way... all you Rico B die-hards can rock the same jersey he does on game days now on the Barstool store!
QB1 Stefon Cheah would not let this game be a total snoozer, though. After his Vols once had a 21-0 lead, it was a one-possession game in the blink of an eye.
Coach Duggs then failed a 4th down conversion, giving Georgia a chance to potentially tie the game. But then, the biggest play of the game...
The Bulldogs were unable to recover from that swing in momentum, and Coach Duggs' offense kept on pouring it on, eventually coming out on top 42-21 over another ranked opponent.
What a difference 16 hours makes. Right as we all went to bed last night, Coach Duggs was coming off a heartbreaking loss at the last second to the Florida Gators. Fast forward to the present? Two ranked wins, and back to the number one team in the country.
Look out, college football world. A season that was once deemed lost is very, very much alive.
The fun continues tonight against Missouri (some time between 9 and 9:30), as America's Coach looks to keep the winning streak going this evening.
