Jussie Smollet Just Won't Quit. Finds A Way To Make Recent Protests About Himself, Invokes George Floyd's Name, And Alleges More Police Misconduct
If anybody else was a shithead kid growing up you can relate to this scenario.
You get in trouble for something you clearly did wrong.
Let's say it's talking back to your mom.
She tells you she's warned you countless times already about doing it, she's sick of you still doing it, so now you're grounded.
Rather than shut your mouth and take the punishment, you argue that it isn't fair.
She adds on another week.
You put up an even bigger fight, continuing to talk back.
Another week.
Very similar to the Breakfast Club scene.

By this point you've racked up a couple months worth of being grounded so what the fuck, why not just keep on being a punk and bitching up a storm?
Pretty sure this is the only way to fathom the level of stupidity we're now dealing with in relation to Jussie Smollett.
Fox News - In court documents filed by the former “Empire” star on Friday and obtained by Fox News on Monday, Smollett made an attempt to use the ongoing worldwide protests against police brutality and systemic racial injustice to point to questions he had in his own case – specifically, the ousting of Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson last year. Smollett said he deserved an explanation into Johnson’s exit, since the former top cop was involved in Smollett’s case since very early on.
“As we see millions across the country rise up to protest and expose police misconduct, the city, by its refusal to produce the requested documents, is choosing to actively resist a citizen’s lawful efforts to reveal dishonesty, directly relating to the charges against him, throughout the department, including the police superintendent who oversaw and publicly commented on the investigation of Mr. Smollett’s report of a vicious hate crime and assault," read the Smollett motion to have the city produce documents into Johnson’s firing.
In its effort, Smollett claimed the city of Chicago “conspicuously omits the role of individuals at CPD that concluded that Mr. Smollett allegedly made false statements to the CPD.” He further claimed that the city relatedly stated “‘Smollett is on trial, not Eddie Johnson,’ as a premise to oppose the motion to compel, the city improperly seeks to narrow the scope of discoverable information.”
This fuckin guy.
He just won't shut up.
Anybody remember on Showtime at The Apollo when somebody was an awful singer, or bombing doing standup? The crowd would boo them to all hell and a clown would come out and yank them off with a giant hook or sweep them off stage?
Jussie needed to be yanked off stage. Yesterday.
How have his friends, family, or legal counsel not told him "Jussie, the world's kinda going to hell in a handbasket right now. Nobody gives a shit about your case anymore. If we plead we're probably not even front page news and out of the news cycle in 24 hours and you can go on with your recording career since your tv career is donezo."

If this guy just shut his mouth and took his punishment this would all be over. Instead, he got caught lying, fought the charges, and indignantly plead not guilty. Now he continues to run his mouth and try to shift the blame onto Chicago PD and it's ex Chief of Police.
Wild stuff.
Given the landscape of things today, if he actually fessed up and apologized for being a moron, like a man, it would probably go a long way. It definitely wouldn't continue to make people hate him. He might even win back some reputation points.
