362 Days Until Maryland's National Championship

Oh believe me, I know that title is hot take central. But I need something to believe in after watching Duke win last night. We all do. So hot takes are allowed in this blog. If we don’t believe in something, we fall for anything. Or something like that. And I believe in Maryland winning the national championship next year. We have freshman sensation Melo Trimble returning. We have 5 Star recruit and top 5 player in the nation Diamond Stone on the way. We have transfer big man Robert Carter who averaged 11 and 8 in ACC play as a freshman suiting up after having to sit this year out. And rounding out the starters will be one of the top 3 point shooters in the B1G Jared Nickens and  of course Jake Layman, who will be finishing off his career as a senior, I’m positive of it. He’s going to come back and light up the Big 10. They’ll be joined by one of the best benches with Dion Wiley, Jared Nickens, Damonte Dodd, Michal Cekovsky, as well as incoming JuCo stud point guard Jaylen Brantley. Absolutely stacked team top to bottom.

CBS did a reallll early preseason top 25 and put Maryland 4th. No argument from me. I’m cool with 4th. But if they stay healthy, sky’s the limit. Can’t wait to go to Houston next year and watch them cut down the nets. #ChickenFries
