Rumors Swirling That Dave Chappelle Is Filming A New Stand Up Comedy Special For HBO

(ComedyHype) — Dave Chappelle looks to be making 2015 his year to officially come back. Since his departure from The Chappelle Show on Comedy Central, he has returned into comedy with a series of stand-up dates. Despite being on the road over the past few years, Chappelle has not released a solo special since 2005 (For What It’s Worth). Over the weekend we discovered that during his recent shows at Austin’s ACL Live in Texas, Chappelle taped his newest set of material for fans. Sources have revealed that the ‘untitled’ special will be premiering on HBO.

For like 10 years all anybody has been saying is “I wish Chappelle was around for this.” Seriously about a million different situations where the world just needed Chappelle to crack jokes about a certain situation or a certain someone. Well, hope he’s been taking notes because he’s gonna have an awful lot to cover. When someone comes out of retirement there’s always the fear that you’re gonna get Wizards MJ but all reviews of Chappelle’s new shit have been stellar. So, safe to say we’re all pretty excited for this one to come out. Funniest guy in the world decided to start telling jokes again and baseball is back. What a day!
