IOWA CITY — Police said they found marijuana inside a woman’s home after she requested police search it for drugs and weapons. According to Iowa City police criminal complaints, on March 12, 52-year-old Gina M. Turner came to the police department and requested her home be searched for drugs and firearms. Police said Turner made the request after a Hope House escapee, who is not identified in the criminal complaint, was taken into custody after leaving her home. Turner allegedly told police that she knew the escapee had a history of using drugs and carrying weapons and she didn’t want any of that in her home. Police said during a search of the residence, they found 85 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and paraphernalia. Turner told police the drugs belonged to her and that she had been selling pot for several months. Turner has been arrested and faces charges of controlled substance violation and Iowa drug tax stamp violation, which are both Class D felonies and punishable by up to five years in prison.

We’ve posted some pretty stupid criminals on Barstool but this chick right here might be the stupidest.  I had to read the story a couple times to even understand what the fuck happened.  So some dude who escaped a halfway house got arrested at her house and after that happened she requested that the cops search her house to see if he left any drugs or guns there.  The cops did find a bunch of weed and scales and she was just like, “Oh, that weed is mine.  I’ve been selling for a few months now.  Things are going pretty well! Thanks for asking!  But I wanted you to search for drugs the other guy might’ve left.  Not mine.  Hey, why are you putting handcuffs on me?”  That’s just a whole different level of stupid.  She should’ve said the weed belonged to the guy who escaped from the halfway house. Or OR she could’ve simply not asked the police to search her house when she knew there was a bunch of weed inside.  We have to be missing something from this story.  There’s a piece missing that we don’t have.  Because I refuse to believe human beings are really this stupid.
