Bulls Fall To Cavs; D-Rose Says That He'll "Probably" Be Back This Week
Tough loss for the Bulls yesterday but if you follow any of the beat reporters it sounds like Thibs and the whole team were upbeat after it. That’s a good thing considering how furious Thibs has been at times this year and I agree with his assessment. The Bulls were continuously getting hit in the mouth, being down by as much as 15 at times and they still fought back to take the game into the last minute. The point is that you probably aren’t going to beat the Cavs when you turn the ball over 16 times and you most definitely aren’t going to beat them when they’re hitting 70 footers:
A few observations as we’re five games away from the Playoffs:
-During the game yesterday Lisa Salters reported that D-Rose said he’ll “probably” be back this week. I don’t know what to tell you about Rose anymore but if he told her that then I guess he’s coming back this week. This is good news seeing as we need him but I’m not looking forward to all the guessing we’re going to have to deal with from now until the April 15th. As long as he’s ready to go round one is all that matters.
-Rose or no Rose if we keep seeing Jimmy “Cash 4 Clunkers” Butler then we’re toast. Sucks to say it but we don’t have a chance unless first half of the season Jimmy Butler comes back to play. He finished strong yesterday but there are still too many stretches where he goes ice cold.
-As Big Cat predicted with the return of Butler, Tony Snell has been shipped to Siberia playing only 6 minutes yesterday. That really sucks to see with how much he was coming on but I guess that’s just Thibs for ya.
-Is it just me or have the Bulls looked real awkward in transition lately? Between this game and that horrendous final possession against the Bucks on Wednesday nothing seems to ever click.
-It looks like the Clippers are on the verge of re-signing him but if they pussy-foot around on it, it might be time to grab the Nate Robinson flyer. Hinrich still isn’t back from injury and of course Rose is Rose. There’s no way we can go into the playoffs with only Brooks and Moore.
-I have no preference on who we play in the first round. Early on I was on team “anybody but the Wizards” but with the way they’ve played lately I don’t see how we don’t get past em this time around.
-Oh and apparently Noah called LeBron a pussy. I’m not a lip reader/sign language guy so I don’t see it but I certainly support it. Here it is:
