Tiger Woods Is Playing In The Masters

TigerWoods.com- “I’m playing in the Masters,” Tiger said Friday afternoon. “It’s obviously very important to me, and I want to be there. “I’ve worked a lot on my game and I’m looking forward to competing. I’m excited to get to Augusta and I appreciate everyone’s support.”

There’s the announcement we’ve been waiting for.  Tiger is playing in the Masters.  Part of me hoped he wouldn’t even announce and would just show up at the first tee on Thursday and go scorched Earth but whatever.  All the speculation, all the Notah Begay tidbits, all the reporters matching private jet tail numbers at airports, all the questions, all the stupid leaked stories can stop.  He’s playing.  Thank god.  The greatest golf tournament in the world just got a lot more exciting.  His presence means something despite what people will try and tell you about him not being a factor.  I don’t care if you hate Tiger or love Tiger.  Him playing at Augusta makes it must-see TV even more than it already is.  Next week is gonna be awesome.  LET’S GO!

PS- Please please please at least play Thursday and Friday injury-free.  Please.  I don’t ask for much.
