Cleveland's Own Mayor Called It "The Butthole of World"

Well this isn't going to help our argument one bit. This is like when you're playing pickup basketball and you're arguing over who it went out on.....and your own team member goes "nah I think it's their ball". Well what can you say to that? Even one of your own is admitting it. This is going to be tough to continue to fight the good fight.....but I'm certainly going to try.

Here's the video in question:

Okay, he does go on to say that perception isn't always reality, but that's not the part that's going viral. Our own mayor referred to us as the butthole of the world. That's a pretty odd tourism adverstising campaign. But here we go.....

Now, my first counterpoint is this: it's 2020. People love buttholes. So, in reality, is he saying that Cleveland is the most up and coming city in the world? Buttholes were gross back in the 1960s (when the river in Cleveland caught on fire), but now they're all the rage. Just something to chew on....

Second, has this dude ever been to Detroit? I'm not going to sit here and try to convince an unconvincable audience that Cleveland is a better place to live than New York City, or Newark NJ, or Baltimore, or anywhere in Mississippi.....but all I need is one place and we're off the hook. People don't have two buttholes. It's like the age old saying that you don't have to be the fastest gazelle while the lion is chasing, you just can't be the slowest. Detroit is the slowest. And the grossest. And has more crime. And has worse sports teams. So if anything, Detroit is more of the butthole and Cleveland is more of the taint. I'll take the taint.

Third and finally, at least ButtholeOfTheWorld.Com isn't a website that has been made that welcomes you to Cleveland, Ohio. Oh wait, it does.

Whatever. We've got the best fan base in the NFL. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. One of the best hospitals in the entire world. A beautiful Lake Erie. And the cost of living is very reasonable for such an up and coming area. But no thank you to our 4th term and longest ever standing Mayor for helping the reputation of this great city! Way to carefully craft our already delicate image, Mr. Jackson.
