Reuters- Democratic Republic of Congo declared a new Ebola epidemic on Monday in the western city of Mbandaka, more than 1,000 km (620 miles) away from an ongoing outbreak of the same deadly virus in the east. Health Minister Eteni Longondo said four people who died in Mbandaka were confirmed as positive cases following testing at the national biomedical laboratory in the capital Kinshasa.
Son of a bitchhhhhhhh. How the fuck did Ebola make its way into 2020 BINGO? Ebola already had its chance to take over the world back when covid wasn't even legally allowed to drive, failed, and then was seemingly vanquished for at least a little while like a movie villain. Instead, it turns out the Big E was quietly biding his time before re-entering the picture during the worst day of the year, which pretty much just means the latest day of the year, and joined the fray as the latest entrant to the Royal Rumble we call life. What do you guys think happens next? My guess is aliens, but that feels like more of an end of the year reveal.
The craziest thing of all this is that I saw the word "Epidemic" and breathed a sigh of relief because epidemic is basically a baby back bitch "emic" compared to a pandemic. Then again, it seems like Coronavirus is nothing compared to Ebola if you get it, so maybe there should be no sighs of relief. Actually based on everything we've seen the last 6 months, lets all agree to hold off on all sighs of relief until 2021 at the very earliest, if we make it there.
