Pro Golfer Lexi Thompson Coming In Hot With A Shirtless Magazine Cover

USA Today- World No. 9 and third-ranked American golfer Lexi Thompson is on the cover of next month?s issue of Golf Digest ? the ?Fitness & Power? issue ? which should hit newsstands in the middle of April.?Not so coincidentally, May was also the month Paulina Gretzky posed for the cover of Golf Digest for little reason other than her relationship with Dustin Johnson and her attractiveness.?The other women featured on the Fitness and Power issue were merely associated with golf. Lexi Thompson, who was the youngest ever U.S. Open competitor at age 12, and has won one major and six tournaments even though she just turned 20, is a golfer.

Here we go! ?I can feel the outrage coming! ?Another day another reason for people to get pissed about something that doesn't directly effect them but still feel the need to throw a shit fit. ?No way people are gonna be okay with them putting a woman on the cover of their magazine and portraying her in this light. ?Not possible. ?Golf Digest is familiar with the backlash after they put non-golfer-but-smoking-hot-girlfriend-of-Dustin-Johnson Paulina Gretzky on their cover last May

Some of the backlash from the Paulina cover came from players on the LPGA (who apparently don't understand how magazine sales work). ?You likely won't see that this time around be one of the differences is that Lexi Thompson is an actual professional golfer. ?So we're moving in the right direction if the idea is to keep people from freaking out about a woman on the cover. ?Golf Digest is so familiar with the backlash of putting a provocative-looking woman on their cover that the editor issued a statement about the Lexi Thompson cover.

Yep, that'll calm the masses of people freaking out about a woman golfer going shirtless on their cover. ?JK, I wish it were true but it isn't. ?Shout out to Golf Digest for trying to be pro-active this time around though.

PS- Just a refresher course on?magazine sales, skin sells. ?That's just the way it goes. ?Doesn't matter if it's male or female skin. ?Another requirement?is the person has to be in shape. ?For example, put a shirtless picture of me in a magazine and those will?become nothing but dust collectors. ?Put Lexi Thompson or Rory McIlroy shirtless in a magazine? ?Now you're in business.
