Submission Specialist Mackenzie Dern Returns To The Octagon Tonight

Just wanted to remind everyone that our favorite international fighter, Mackenzie Dern, returns to the cage tonight in Vegas to meet Hannah Cifers at UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs Burns

All of the fights are free on ESPN (prelims at 6pm, main card at 9pm)....

I'll tweet out my full slate of picks as the prelims are going live per usual, but a few I'll give ya right now are Tyron Woodley (-155), Blagoy Ivanov (+100), Spike Carlyle (+115), Mackenzie Dern (-390), and Katlyn Chookagian (+125).

Oh, and also, to be completely honest, I don't know much about Jamahal Hill (-115), but he's always favoriting my tweets and that's nice so I'm taking him too. Please remember that my picks aren't actual gambling plays I'm advocating for or anything, just who I personally think will win. Also remember I'm no expert, and my record was 16-14 last week.

Another important thing to note is that tonight's fights will be contested in the smaller Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series cage (25' diameter as opposed to 30') so expect a little increased action tonight. That should, in theory, increase finishes and make unders a little more fun to bet on.

As a fan, I think this card is gonna be pretty sneaky great! It's always the events with smaller names that seem to fly under the radar that wind up being awesome, and this one is just chock full of fun fights in my opinion.

We've got my girl Katlyn Chookagian kicking off the Shevchenko Revenge Tour by fighting the sister of the girl who last beat her (who can't dig that story?!), Tyron Woodley returning after a LOOOOONG layoff from the cage to meet Gilbert Burns who's making a shockingly quick turnaround....

…we've got big boys that'll throw BOMBS in the co-main, the Alpha Ginger's psychotic ways before that - it's gonna be fun. I'm stoked. Live sports are great, and so are any distractions from reality right now. Tune in with us and watch along!
