Bad News For The Clippers As Colin Cowherd Picks Them To Win The 2020 Title

While we don't know for sure what the playoff structure will look like once things are back, Colin here built his prediction around the 1-16 seeding idea. Not exactly a hot take to predict a team that was considered a title favorite for the entire season actually wins the whole thing, but this isn't exactly what any Clippers fan should want to hear. You could argue Colin just gave them the kiss of death. Why do I say that? Well I'm speaking from experience

Shit was over before it even started. Now I know what you're thinking, it's true, he does still have a chance to be right about 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, but the point is if you get this man's blessing chances are things are not going to work out how you hoped. Just last year he had the Raptors losing in the ECF to BOS and the Celts winning the whole thing. My memory may not be what it once was, but I'm fairly certain that did not happen. He's thrown out statements like this

which didn't exactly pan out. I don't mean this to be a pile on session of Colin cold takes, he's in the opinion and hot take business where you're going to be wrong at times. I think what he's been able to do in his career is impressive as hell. It's not as easy as you think to talk solo on a show for as long as he does. I'm just saying if he is even remotely hinting that your favorite team is going to make a run to a title or become a dynasty, it's the last thing on earth you want to hear.

It makes sense that he picks the Clippers, their roster is loaded and at 100% health they proved to be one of the most unstoppable teams in the league. Playoff Kawhi has turned into an absolute monster who is capable of carrying entire teams by himself over the finish line. Doesn't matter if he has to get through dynasties, MVPs, whatever. That dude is something different in the playoffs.

But if history tells us anything, we can cross them off the list. Maybe next year. On the flip side, this is great news for the Lakers/Bucks/any of the other contenders of the world. Your dream of a championship is still alive. I know I'm relieved he didn't pick the Celts, maybe now they'll have a real shot.

And now by blogging rule, we can only end this blog one way. Enjoy.
