Sunday Night in the Swamp: Vols, Gators Prepare for SEC Opener

Welcome to SEC play, where "It Just Means More." The Tennessee Volunteers and Head Coach Gus Duggerton are set for a big time battle in Gainesville tonight to take on their rival in the Florida Gators.

The Vols are 3-0, but their last win vs. Connecticut on Friday was nothing to write home about. Tennessee won by a field goal, but the entire squad was underwhelming from top to bottom, and I think even Coach Duggs would admit that.

But the bottom line is, a win is a win, especially in the BCS era of college football. One loss means your season could be toast. The Gators may be 0-2 right now, but Coach Duggs knows that doesn't mean much.

There are no doubts that Tennessee has historically struggled in The Swamp, but Volunteers QB Caleb Pressley remains confident heading into his squad's conference debut.

So, the stage is set for what should be a thriller. 9:30 PM ET, live on the Pardon My Take Twitch. See you then.

PS: I'm relaxing the Big J guidelines attached to my name for today and today only. Go Gators.
