MLB Now Investigating Jarred Cosart For Gambling, Cosart Or Possibly Fake Cosart Claims He Was "Hacked"
(Source) Starting pitcher Jarred Cosart came to the Miami Marlins last summer hoping for a fresh start after a sometimes rocky tenure with the Houston Astros. Instead, he finds himself this morning amidst a Twitter-storm of allegations tying him to gambling. MLB is now looking into the claims, a spokesman tells New Times.
Cosart’s troubles started last night with a gambling expert on Twitter alleging he’d direct messaged a colleague asking for betting advice. Cosart later deleted his own account as tweets piled up accusing him of gambling and speculating whether he’d ever bet on baseball, which would be a serious violation of the game’s rules.

Well now we wait and see I guess. Like I said in my original blog I doubt anything comes of this. Obviously I’m praying it uncovers some wild MLB gambling ring, something that will give us the best 30/30 of all time but if I had to guess it’s simply, Jarred Cosart bets on March Madness and now he’ll get a slap on the wrist by the MLB.

Either way, it seems as though Jarred is handling this in just about the worst way possible. Locked his twitter account, deleted his twitter account, allegedly started a new twitter account to tweet that the original twitter account was hacked.
And then deleted that one. Probably threw his computer in the ocean and his phone down a well just to be safe as well. I don’t know Jarred, maybe just chill out. Acting like an emo teenager deleting accounts and tweets doesn’t really scream innocent and nothing to hide, but that’s just me.
