Another day, another beautiful step in the direction of the NBA returning to action. I know that Woj tweet says "hopeful" and to consider it a done deal would be foolish, but I can't help it. A total of 22 of 30 franchises will be open for business by Monday? As in May 18th? The one in 5 days? If that's not progress I don't know what is. We still really don't have an idea of what a return to sports will look like and what measures will have to be taken to get there, but what I do know is you have to start somewhere. If franchises can figure out a way to do this safely, which I assume they have done if team facilities are going to be open in five days. You have to admit, every tweet from Shams/Woj we have gotten about this process has been positive.
Now, maybe an owner said this to Woj and was just spitballing. That would be unfortunate because now that I've read it I need 22 teams to be holding workouts. Can't put that toothpaste back in the tube as far as I'm concerned. We're on the path to basketball being back and there's no stopping now. Each day the news gets better and better and I for one cannot wait to see what we learn tomorrow.
