Henry Cejudo Controversially KOs Dominick Cruz And Then...Retires?

UFC Bantamweight Champion Henry Cejudo just finished Dominick Cruz in the final moments of the second round of their title fight just now - controversially, might I add, as many think the stoppage was early - and then he kinda awkwardly announced his retirement in the prime of his career....

I couldn't tell if he was serious or not for a second, but apparently he's very serious.

Cejudo says he's 33 years old, and considering the fact that he's be training non-stop for the Olympics since he was 11, he just wants to chill out and start a family now. As much shit as I've given Triple Cringe, I could respect that. He even showed some self awareness on his way out and said we won't have to hear him anymore...

Shocking retirement, and like a said, pretty damn awkward (no fans didn't help), but hey - hell of a career!

As for the stoppage, I'd agree that it was a bit early, but I don't think it was that bad. Cejudo reeeaaally rocked Cruz with that knee, his eyes WENT, and then he ate 10-12 unanswered shots on the ground. Getting up or not, he wasn't really intelligently defending himself, and that's all that matters in the referee's eyes.

I'm sure we'll talk about this fight and Henry Cejudo's retirement and everything more later, but the main event is about to start, so I've gotta go! See you on the other side! Meet back here!
