Good Luck Telling Steve Smith Sr. His (Very Correct) 2020 NFL Rookie Prediction Is Wrong

You can yell at me about my Lynn Bowden takes but I can guarantee you won't yell at Steve Smith. First off, he'll kick your ass. He's simply someone you don't want to get into a fight with. He's high up on the list - but behind Eastern European soccer hooligans - as someone I'd prefer not to scrap with.

This rookie wide receiver class is awesome too. Henry Ruggs, CeeDee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy, Jalen Reagor, Justin Jefferson, Brandon Aiyuk, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman, Laviska Shenault, KJ Hamler, Chase Claypool, Van Jefferson, Denzel Mims and Lynn Bowden all went in the top-80. The top-80! 14 wide receivers and look at who Steve Smith says is going to have the biggest impact.

I tried warning you that Bowden is going to be a special player. It was ridiculous that he was compared to Taysom Hill - even Smith has the right comparison in Randle-El. The dude is a kick returner, wide receiver and quarterback who can also play running back. He's going to be used every which way within the Raiders offense. You can line him up anywhere. He's the only person in the draft you can do that with.

Bowden is going to stick in the NFL because of this versatility. He was overshadowed by Benny Snell and Josh Allen when he was the leading WR on the 10-win team. He became one of the best players in the country this past year when he switched to QB. Don't trust me, trust a guy who played in the NFL for 16 years.
