Vince Wilfork Signs With The Houston Texans... Officially Done In New England

No surprise here. In fact, a bit of a relief. It was doubtful that Vince came back when they first decline his option and once they re-signed Alan Branch yesterday, it was all but over. So I was more concerned with what team Vince was going to land on, knowing it wouldn’t be here. After Ngata went to Detroit, I dreaded seeing Vince in that stupid Baltimore purple. Worried about him heading to Indy, which is apparently the aging player haven this offseason, and potentially becoming a big cog in the Patriots “run it because they have no idea how to stop it” game plan.But, alas, he ended up in Houston. I’m OK with that. He, Clowney and Watt will probably be fun to watch. But with Tom Brady’s Backup taking the snaps there’s no real threat to us there. This kind of breakup is just about not wanting to see your ex do better than you, so we made out OK. I want to see you happy even if it’s not with me, but not quite as happy as you were with me… ya know?  Best of luck Vince and see you in your red blazer at your Patriots Hall enshrinement. We’ll start sewing now.
