El Salvador Prisons Now In Contention For Worst Place On Earth

No this is not a picture from the set of 'Human Centipede 4: The Longest Pede.'

According to The Yucatan Times, El Salvadorian gangs ran wild this weekend.

The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, has said criminal gangs are taking advantage of the coronavirus pandemic after more than 50 people were killed between Friday and Sunday.

He authorised the police and army to use lethal force to curb the violence.

He also ordered a 24/7 lockdown for imprisoned gang members, arguing that many of the murders were ordered from behind bars.

Mr Bukele was elected last year on a promise to reduce the murder rate.

Police said that 24 murders had been reported on Friday, making it the deadliest day since President Bukele came to power in June 2019.

Another 29 people were killed by Sunday afternoon local time, according to police figures.

That's over 50 murders in El Salvador this weekend under the nose of a guy whose main campaign platform was to reduce the murder rate. Not great when everyone else's murder rates are going down …

The government claims most of the murders in El Salvador were ordered from gang members behind bars.

So what happens if you make a fool of President Nayib Bukele? He makes you go cock to ass with every single one of your fellow prisoners, and then has a photo shoot.

Also to up the anti not only is he saying I don't care about your health, you won't get 6 centimeters let alone 6 feet of social distancing, but he also sent in a government order to have rival gang members start sharing cells with each other and be on 24/7 lockdown.

Now that's metal.

You now have 24 hours a day to kill your rivals in a box they can't escape, oh and if you spill out in the hallways it's lethal force via the military guards with machine guns.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Hopefully the murders go way down and also hopefully there is no COVID-19 in these prisons. Either way, I wouldn't want to be in an El Salvadorian prison, or be a member of Bukele's security detail in the coming months.
