Tigers' Manager Brad Ausmus Catching Heat For Saying "I Beat My Wife" When He Gets Home After Bad Games

Well, I bet he wishes he can get that one back. And it kinda sucks because we finally get a manager with some sort of personality (Ozzie Guillen nonwithstanding), he makes one joke, and cue the overblown outrage! Just come onnnnnn. Let’s be rational here. Obviously nobody is defending guys who hit chicks. Nobody. And obviously a guy in his position shouldn’t joke about it. But does anyone think he’s serious? Even 1 person? And he immediately apologized because he knew he probably shouldn’t have said that:
 

Yea, it was a bad idea, I think we all get that. You can’t really say shit like that, even if it’s clearly a joke. But there are people who think he should be suspended. I just don’t know about that. They’ll issue an official statement that neither he, nor the Detroit Tigers support beating up women, he might make an appearance at a shelter for battered women, and then we’ll all forget it happened.
