In All That Frenzy, The Redskins Only Made One Move - Signed DT Stephen Paea Formerly Of The Bears

This is strange. Frenzy of moves across the NFL, and the Skins are sitting back and watching it all happen. They did sign one guy though, DT Stephen Paea. He had a career year last season with 6 sacks, matching his total from his previous 3 seasons combined. The contract is 4 years, 20 million, which is relatively low risk for a guy that is still coming into his prime. There’s really nothing to dislike about this deal as the Skins Dline is in shambles and I haven’t heard a bad word spoken about Paea.

The Redskins are committed to rebuilding through the draft. We’ve heard new GM Scot McCloughan say it 1,000 times. I don’t really know what those words mean- “rebuilding through the draft”. Like as in not trading draft picks? As in not signing washed up guys to huge deals? It’s a weird idea that I’ve never seen before, but it’s so crazy it might just work.
