Just three plays from the last two decades of the best college football the world has ever seen? This is a task which will obviously leave off some incredible college football moments, but what has to be done has to be done. It's a real shame the 1999 Fiesta Bowl falls outside the purview of this list, but such is life.
I came up with the first two very easily and then had several in mind for the third spot, but ultimately came up with what I think is a pretty agreeable list.
1. Kick Six, Alabama vs. Auburn 2013
This is a no-brainer for the No. 1 spot. It's the most iconic play in the history of one of college football's best rivalries, and given the stakes of that game — the winner would take the SEC West crown and likely go on to play for the national championship — likely the most iconic and important play in the history of college football.
"Auburn's gonna win the football game!" will also forever be one of the greatest calls of all-time — in any sport.
2. 2nd and 26, Alabama vs. Georgia 2018
Alabama gets its revenge for being on the losing end of the No. 1 spot on this list by winning the national title over another SEC foe with one of the unlikeliest comebacks in recent memory.
Bama was getting dominated by UGA before Nick Saban pulled Jalen Hurts for freshman Tua Tagovailoa, who led the Tide all the way back and capped it off with a dime on 2nd and 26 in overtime to take home the national championship.
3. Dobbs to Jennings Hail Mary, Tennessee vs. Georgia 2016
When I tweeted my list, I had Tim Tebow's jump pass to beat Oklahoma No. 3, because I didn't want to seem like a homer by putting this on there, but then Brandon gave me license to have it on there fair and square so here it is.
You'll never see a Hail Mary executed better in your life. What a moment.
