Florida Couple Gets The Haul Of The Years And Steals $85,000 Worth Of Shredded Mozzarella
AP – Hold the cheese. Thieves made off with a refrigerated tractor-trailer filled with $85,000 worth of shredded mozzarella cheese bound for a Hungry Howies Pizza distribution center in central Florida. The truck was reported stolen Sunday. The Ocala Star-Banner reports the driver and his girlfriend left the trailer at a truck stop in Summerfield on Saturday evening while having a mechanic check the truck.
It’s been a pretty wild 2015 already in the dark underground world of cheese thievery. You may remember this lovely couple from last month who stole 57 blocks of cheese from a Walmart.
Now I haven’t seen any pictures of the new Bonnie and Clyde in town, but they’ve got to be the hottest cheese thieves in town considering the standards that have been set. So that’s pretty exciting news for everyone. On to the cheese at hand though.
What do you do after stealing $85,000 of cheese? What do you do after stealing $85,000 worth of anything for that matter? I have to assume you keep a pretty solid chunk to yourself. We’re talking unlimited cheese for quesadillas, pizzas, tacos, cereal, cheesy bread, cheesy soup, etc. etc. For at least the next year or so, these people will never have to worry about how they’re getting their next bag of shredded cheese. But then what? Do you sell the rest? Or do you just use it as your own form of currency? Like we’re back in the medieval times trading a pound of cheese for a loaf of bread? I don’t know. I’m very intrigued by the whole thing and would genuinely enjoy some answers here.
