Meat Sweats With Jordie: Cooking Up Some Nashville Hot Chicken

Have you ever gone on a bachelor party to Nashville? Of course you have. And did you get addicted to hot chicken whilst visiting Nashville? Of course you did. The issue with being addicted to hot chicken when you live in Philly, however, is that you can't find it anywhere here. Which is probably the case in most parts around the country, so you're left to just figure it out on your own.

So not only have I become addicted to eating hot chicken, but I've also become addicted to cooking it myself because it's honestly super easy to make. Just as long as you 1) season your flour like an adult and 2) make sure you brine your chicken for at least a few hours before frying it up.

And as long as you end up following some pretty basic steps, this is your end result.

Golden. Crispy. Spicy at shit.

Little warning to everybody at home--the heat on the way in and the heat on the way out the next morning are totally different. So just because you think something is tolerable while you're eating it doesn't mean you'll find it tolerable in the morning. Do yourself a favor and dial back the amount of cayenne if necessary. But as long as you like to live life dangerously, fill that bitch up with as much heat as you want.

And that's how you spice up your quarantine.
