Nate's 2:00-3:00 Blog Of The Day

Another day, another blog I'm gonna start typing stream of conscious. I guess when blogging was created, like way back with Live Journal and Xanga...wait hold on, what a pull by me. Do you guys remember Xanga? I think it was mainly for high schoolers but we were blogging way back in the day like "don't want to do my stupid social studies homework. It doesn't even make sense." You could also see friends of friends Xangas and you could really spend all day just reading people's dumb ass thoughts on the world at 16 years old. So I guess now I'm blogging...the old school way. OS for life. To be honest, Chaps is probably the most "old school feel" type of blogger we have. He sees something that makes him laugh, he blogs it. The good thing about Chaps is he can take any subject, ie log splitting, and make it funny because he's so naturally funny. Nobody clicks those blogs but you're missing really funny stuff because he titles them "Log Splitting Blog". Not great for the algorithm, I guess.

Nothing else is really going on. I went grocery shopping at Trader Joe's yesterday. Let me just say, it was a dream. I went during the storm so I only had to wait like 5 minutes to get inside. They have an insanely strict 1 in, 1 out policy and when you get in, it's like heaven. The store is basically empty. They are being so careful it's incredible. And it makes grocery shopping go by so quickly. Nobody is in your way. I knew what I wanted, grabbed them, and was out the door in about 15 minutes. Compare that to Fairway Market where the store is overcrowded, everyone is bumping into each other, and it's a complete shit show. I will be scarred for life from going to Fairway. Fuck that place.

I'm also off alcohol, carbs, and sweets for this week. Well until Friday, obviously. I'm definitely craving sugar right now, that's for sure. I was eating so many M&Ms and cookies that going cold turkey is making me really want to go buy 100 cookies. I'm going to stay strong though.

No alcohol is much needed. I don't need to be drinking by myself 5 nights a week. I was doing because, well, it's there. And being drunk is more fun than not being drunk. So last night I replaced alcohol with working out. Did some yoga and then worked out on my floor. Some sit ups, some push ups, nothing too fancy. I looked into getting a Peloton but they are back ordered til June. I was told it could take up to 7 weeks to get here. I want one now, not in 7 weeks. So that's out the window. Unless you work at Peloton and can get me an expedited bike, that'd be sweet.

So that's where I'm at. Let's take a look at some questions:

I still have my bitcoin. To be honest if I wanted to cash it out right now I'm not even sure I remember how. If I get hit by a truck tomorrow I'm pretty sure my crypto will just be stuck in outer space forever.

It sucks. Ovi should have finished the season with a chance to hit 60 goals, and instead he's at 48. Not just that, but it was the Caps year again so we missed out on another Summer of Ovi. Whole situation suckssss. I do think though, in my heart of hearts, if Ovi wants to pass Gretzky, he will.

If lawmarkers were smart they would look at the online gaming revenue New Jersey has made and copy their blueprint. Tack that bill onto some Coronavirus Relief Fund bill and get online poker in every state. It's so simple. I don't know why more states don't want to make money.

"Rounders" is the gold standard. I've talked to Jeff D Lowe about doing an LCB/Cracking Aces watch of the movie. That's tbd. "Molly's Game" is very good as well, obviously.

He runs Scranton. Simple as that. Likely rigged Casino Night. I did a deep dive into him here:

You know how "Simpsons did it" is a popular phrase now because The Simpsons have covered so many topics because they've been on TV for so long? That's how I feel about blogging. I've covered virtually every topic. I always see new bloggers doing topics I blogged about 3+ years ago and just sigh. Oh to be new to the blogging world before every topic is tired and redundant to you. But we get new readers every day so those topics are still fresh to them, I try to remember that.

That's it for today's blog. Actually went pretty long today. I'm now over 800 words with this sentence. Not too shabby. See you back here tomorrow. Gosh bless.
