This Gary Matthews Jr catch always makes my jaw drop. The amount of ground he covered, the way he just jumps right into the wall and scales it, catching it and twirling down all in one smooth motion. An absolutely fantastic catch by Matthews Jr. Easily one of the best catches we've seen in the last what, 30 years? I mean it may be the best catch ever, it's that good. He didn't have a great career, so this is definitely his crowning play, just a tad ahead of hitting for the natural cycle. I wouldn't be too upset with this unreal catch being the top moment of a career.
Serious question, if this isn't the best catch ever, what is? Jim Edmonds? Willie Mays? Seriously, you tell me.
