West Virginia Governor Jim Justice Really Wants People to Still Go to Bob Evans

Ok, where to even begin?

Coronavirus panic has officially overtaken everyone in this country, with the apparent exception of West Virginia Governor Jim Justice. He seems to be doing just fine and wanted to let everyone in his state know that there's nothing to worry about and you are free to move about the state freely and do as you please.

I suppose I'll start with the fact that Jim Justice looks more like what I imagined the West Virginia governor to look like than what I'd imagine any other person in any other job looks like. He was born to be the governor of West Virginia. He also looks like the exact person I'd expect to recommend going to Bob Evans.

I don't recall ever having been to a Bob Evans restaurant in my life, but I have definitely seen them driving through rural parts of the South on my way to better parts of the South. But Jim wants to make it explicitly clear that the citizens of West Virignia have his consent to leave their homes and head down to the Bob Evans for some ... biscuits? Chicken fried steak? I'm honestly not sure what they serve at Bob Evans, but I'm guessing I'm safe in those assumptions.

But if you're risking getting a potentially deadly virus to go to a chain restaurant, would you really pick Bob Evans? A nine-seed in Jeff D. Lowe's chain restaurants bracket? If I'm going anywhere, it's straight to Chili's.

But I'm actually glad that in these trying times when businesses are struggling, Governor Justice is addressing an entire state and campaigning for his favorite restaurant. I can respect the hell out of that. Bob Evans will not go under due to corona as long as Jim Justice has anything to say about it.

And given the fact that West Virginia is now the only state without any reported cases of the virus, I suppose Bob Evans will continue to thrive.
